Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using LiteDaemon ("the Service", "the App") operated by LiteDaemon ("we", "us", "our"), accessible at litedaemon.xyz.
By downloading, installing, or using LiteDaemon, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
LiteDaemon is a desktop software application for Windows, macOS, and Linux that provides AI-powered voice typing functionality. The software allows users to dictate text into any application using their microphone and an AI transcription model.
We offer two plan types:
Upon purchase of a valid plan and activation of a license key, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use LiteDaemon on up to two (2) devices registered to you, for the duration of your active subscription.
You may not:
LiteDaemon is sold as a recurring subscription (monthly or annual). Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, a third-party payment processor. By purchasing, you agree to Dodo Payments' terms as well.
Upon successful payment, a license key is delivered to your registered email address. Each license key can activate up to two (2) devices. You may deactivate a device from within the app (Settings → Deactivate Device) to free up a slot.
License keys are personal and may not be shared. If we detect abuse (sharing keys publicly, activating more devices than allowed), we reserve the right to revoke the key without refund.
If you use the BYOK plan, your OpenAI API key is stored locally on your device only. We never transmit or store your API key. You are solely responsible for:

LiteDaemon is built on OpenTypeless, an open-source project licensed under the MIT License. Our custom additions (payment system, branding, website) are proprietary.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiteDaemon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the software ceases immediately.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
